Moving From Your Desert To Your Limelight

FROM DESERT TO LIMELIGHT

God has been speaking to me on the word desert and I got some revelations from it which I would love to share with you.

Your desert could either be your mess or your rest.

God has always been known to prepare people in the hidden places before revealing them to their limelight.

John was in the desert for many days before he was revealed to the world (Israel)—-Luke 1:80

What do you do in your deserts? Chat, gossip, sleep or stay idle? It\’s your training ground. You can\’t just jump out suddenly to the world, there must be a refining period.

The fact that God had promised to use John as a prophet didn\’t mean that he would start so early, he needed to pass through the training phase.

Jesus who was a son of God also went through this phase before starting his ministry at the age of 30.

Are you in a hurry? Are you tired? You would definitely become that which God says you would become but you need to prepare first.

Seek for knowledge, wisdom, peace , values, the right company. Spend time on God\’s word and in God\’s presence. Make good use of your deserts and the Lord would make you outshine. Don\’t try to shine at the wrong time, you would only keep struggling.

After John had gone through various trainings in the desert, it was time for him to be announced.

Guess what?

1. He started from his platform. He didn\’t jump to the wrong corner but started from where he was—Luke 3: 3-4,7a. Start from where you are and your platform would be recognized. Tip the Top.

2. People gathered round him at the sound of his voice and calling because he had a message and it came at the right time. Luke 3:5.

3. When its time for your limelight, you wouldn\’t have to struggle to be recognized. People would be stunned at your message–Luke 3:15

4. Before you can pull the crowd, you must have prepared well to gain grounds. You don\’t need years to be known.

Let\’s look at desert as a mess.

Isaiah 43:19: Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

Why did God use rivers and ways for deserts and wilderness?

1. A wilderness is an unsettled and uncultivated tract of land left in its natural state. If that\’s the case, it would definitely be difficult to pass through such place because of the thorns and bushy environment.

2. A desert is an area of land or desolate terrain, especially one with little or no water. Mostly refers to as a wasteland.

What does God want to do with this kind of place then?

Luke 1:37 says that \”With God all things are possible\”.

That aspect of your life that is so barren, that aspect of your life where it seems nothing good can be found there, that aspect of your life that feels unbearable.

God says He is going to do something about it. He would make a way in that thickest part of your life.

I pray that every aspect of your life that looks doomed, the lord will restore and make ways for you in Jesus name.
